Midgard Sojourn
If you ever clicked on my profile, you will see my fanfic-blog Midgard Sojourn. It's a one way click, because I don't want the readers of Midgard Sojourn to wander into Sojourn Notes out of curiousity. Midgard Sojourn is rated G, Sojourn Notes is rated R-18. Here in the Philippines, most players of Ragnarok Online are between 12-18 years of age. Granted that most of the topics I discuss will go over their heads, I prefer not to discuss those things with spoiled rich teeners whose favorite expression is Loser. And that will be another topic in the future.
Enough about that.
Midgard Sojourn is a slice of my life in the virtual world of Ragnarok Online, RO. I don't live like that in the game but Midgard Sojourn is the motivations behind each of my characters. Most people who play RO usually have one main character and at least one or two subsidiary characters, usually a vendor/discount buyer/overcharge seller slave-merchant (don't ask why, it's part of game mechanics and poorly thought out at that) and sometimes, a discarded main character waiting for deletion. I have twelve main characters. In essence, they help each other but don't get in each other's way. But never in my mind have I ever considered one a slave of the other. Spouse, yes. Sometimes, I really wish I could get a girlfriend who wouldn't mind playing one of the spouse-pairs while I play the other but again, that's another topic here in the future.
Don't expect superhuman, sort of, abilities from the main protagonists in the stories. They're not superheroes. They're more like firemen, police, doctors, people with special training and talents but aren't unique in the sense that anybody with the inclination and training in that world can do whatever they do. In the scheme of things in their world, they're average nobodies.
I'll just describe the current stars of Midgard Sojourn now:
Sofija Verte: Born Sophie, her real last name struck off records by royal decree. Sofiya was the name given to her by her godparents. Sofiya took Verte as a last name due to her green hair because some bureaucrat in Geffen refused to register her if she didn't have a last name. Retired Wizard, currently a school teacher.
Six of Seven: Sixth of a batch of seven clones created for some unknown purpose. I'll definitely try to work him as a combination of Data, Borg (where his name came from), T-100 Terminator and Forrest Gump.
Alice: Robotic servant. Something like Rosie of the Jetsons. :P
It's fun talking about them here. Hope to see you again soon. :)
