All hail, Dominatrix of the Universe! We are not worthy to enter thy presence!

It is very coincidental that you write about Michael Jackson and have it come out in your column on June 26, 2009. I'm sure you have heard about his death by now and maybe a few other people have also written you via e-mail too about the coincidence.

I felt sad when I heard the news that Michael Jackson died. Although I was never a fan, I loved singing Thriller at the karaoke to shake things up when everybody was singing ballads. In many ways, MJ was a genius, one of the Mozarts of our time, because his music affected you whether you were a fan or not. In retrospect, I realize that most of MJ's songs tells you to take notice as compared to the music mash I hear over the radio these days, each song on the radio sounds like every other song you hear, even when you switched stations. Either that or I've really grown old.

Notable people of my generation are passing away one by one. The summertime of the 80s has come to an end, autumn has begun. Laurelindórenan has faded into Lothlórien.
