Looking for a Sign

The fundamental requirement in asking for a sign is that the seeker must accept the sign he or she receives, even if this wasn't the sign he or she was hoping for. This implies faith in the giver of the sign, not just acknowledgement of the possibility of reliability of the giver of the sign. Worse yet, very often, there will be no proof or validation of the basis of that faith.

Yet, the seeker must accept the sign, even if the result is contrary to what is wished. That has happened to me.

I only see a closed door but the realty is that the road is open before me. I am free to roam. I am disappointed because I wanted to be invited into the house.

The sign has set me free. What is left is for me to accept that freedom.

Post Event Blues: the End of Brewfest 2008

I always knew Brewfest 2008 would end on October 4th but I didn't realize that the last minute was 11:59pm October 3rd, realm time. When I logged in Aman'Thul last night to earn more tokens for my nephew's character (he uses my account on Sundays), I was shocked to see the Brewfest grounds missing. And I'm 3 tokens short of 200.

I feel empty. Eerily like real life.
